A child will pronounce them evil, he will bind the ones that stayed behind over for judgment. Their judgment is complete and righteous........
No Child Proof Lids
He looked at the other kids, they were just what they were, children, stupid, childish willing to believe in santa claus and alice through the looking glass. His head began to throb slightly, that's what happened when he thought too hard.
The counselor had said he was well beyond his six years. It was true. He had been reading, writing and calculating since he was a year, right now, he sat in a 6th grade class ready to move on to junior high. The state wouldn't allow him to go to college.
The second hand swept the big clock, he focused on the hand counting the seconds to freedom.
As he stood on the side walk waiting for her to pick him up, one of the kids in his class walked up to him, asked was he really only six. He gave him a blank stare and cocked his head to the side. The kid squirmed uncomfortably for a minute finally walking away.
There she was at last, late as usual. Nothing about her was motherly towards him and he didn't care. She was afraid of him, he could sense it, actually, he had heard her tell his father, he gave her chills, he made her uncomfortable.. Stupid woman.. she didn't know the half.

He looked at the side of her face as he climbed onto the seat. She didn't speak, she didn't inquire if he'd had a nice day, had he eaten all of his lunch or what had he learned. It didn't matter, she knew there was nothing, nothing any institution of learning could teach him, he had taken all of their I.Q. tests, they were infantile, beneath his vast understanding.
She gripped the wheel so hard her knuckles were white. She faced front, rigid and stoic, her sight never wavering from the road.
He took this moment to touch her hand and she jumped.. almost slamming them into the car ahead.
He clenched her hand, digging his nails into the flesh, he could see the tears welling up in her eyes and this only made him grip tighter. He reminded her she was his mother after all, shouldn't she even feign concern? She moved her hand slightly and he gripped harder.
She spoke softly without looking at him.. " How was your day?"
This only served to anger him, he felt the interior of the car start to heat up, he felt the cold run through his insides, he heard her.. just barely, a small whisper.."please, please don't hurt me?"
He channeled the anger away from her, away from the interior of the car, he swallowed the heat and a little bit of her fear.. he watched the grey creep slowly down her temples.
He released her and withdrew the energy. She was not worth the time or power he'd expend destroying her.. He raked his nails across her hand, he watched the blood run dripping down onto her skirt. At one time he thought he could love her, but, she had never loved him, she had always been afraid, now she was nothing to him, just a means to an end..

~Out of the mouths of babes~
Father was his ally. He had loved him from the start. He would be the catalyst, the route to one or the other.. salvation or destruction.
He sat with his father and his cohorts often. Most of them thought it strange and were annoyed when he spoke but father.. was proud, they understood, they knew and slowly they crept away.. keeping their distance.
At first father was puzzled but being the narcissist he truly was.. he felt they were jealous.. shame, he didn't understand it or recognize it as well as they did. Perhaps ignorant bliss was best for him.
Nothing in this world bothered him, though one thing did puzzle him. Mother knew, she didn't understand it completely but, she felt it and it made her afraid. Father wasn't afraid at all, he loved his boy but... he knew nothing.
He lay back against the pillows of his bed, closing his eyes he sent thoughts to father.
It was time, the trial, would begin soon.

~Gathering the minds of the nations~
He lay on his bed, his head throbbing, the thoughts loud, echoed throughout his mind. A decision must be made and it would be up to him and the report he brought back. The day ahead would be unbelievable for some, the knowledge would come to them, a shock to their systems. Still some, would deny it to the end, they would try to act as if things would go on the way they have. They would not accept their time has come to an end.
He closed his eyes and quieted the thoughts, tomorrow would be time enough. The thoughts he sent to father would bring him to his bedside soon. Father would not understand the reasoning behind the decision to travel but, imagine it, imagine being able to show off your son to the leader of the free world.
What father didn't know was, the meeting place would not be traditional. Free world and Third world would clash. He had no idea of the magnitude nor the weight of it..a shock it would be.
Now, his thoughts ran long and far, the room vibrated from the energy he sent. Around the world calls were being made, he set the stage, readied the players. Soon... it would begin.

~meeting~
Father was thrilled, he could hardly contain himself.. he didn't know where The Plains of Megiddo was but, with GPS and all.. they would get there on time.
He sat back and absorbed the information that came to him. It wasn't a part of his character to smile but father was comical. He darted about, planning and thinking he had control, he knew nothing.. he had no control over anything.. it would be as it would be.
A movement, just out of the corner of his eye.. there in the shadow.. she stepped into the light, fear.. fear but, it was not of him but for him. He did smile, she walked over and sat at his feet. He put his little hand upon her head and she cried, bitter tears, she grabbed the other hand and kissed it. "I did not understand before, please forgive me, is there any time left?" He didn't speak, instead he raised her head, wiped the tears from her eyes and kissed her forehead.
Time was here, he looked out over his audience, the malevolence, the hatred, the fear.. it permeated the air, it hung there between the smiles, winks, hand shakes, kisses and pats on the back. between the immorality, murder, genocide, patricide, matricide, the dishonesty, back stabbing, covert plots, between the coos, the revolutions, the wars, the plagues, the knowledge, the stupidity, between chaos and anarchy, he could see it all and he wondered.. were they worth it?
He climbed the stairs, he stood at the podium, he looked at them. They paid him no attention as they had always done as they thought they would always do, they didn't want to hear his words, they would be happy to continue in their lives of lies and disgust...
He opened his mouth... The earth shook, a great shaking, yet not one thing moved, they were struck dumb... but, their sight had been enhanced and for one moment they could see, clearly, very clearly and they began to weep, the ones that wept, left The Plains of Meggido. Maybe for them.. maybe.

~the ones that stayed behind~
They were quiet. They glared at him, someone finally asked what could a child know about anything, but, he raised his hands and began to speak.
He addressed them as a whole though each one felt as if he spoke only to him. Their sins were all the same, not one was different from the other and he told them so.
He spoke of times ago, times long past times ahead that they... would not see. He spoke softly yet the multitude heard..
He revealed the things they had covered up, brought to light the things they had done in the dark.. They cursed him and they mumbled under their breath.. they clutched at their clothes and pulled out their hair. A fire on their tongues murder would be the cooling liquid to put the fire out.
When he finished speaking, they all lay on the ground, their faces dirty and hideous. But, when they looked at each other they only saw beauty, they saw the pretty thing they wished to protect and, they planned.

~final judgment~
He looked at the multitude, more stayed behind than had departed. Sad, he was glad within himself to see that father had left with the weepers. Mother hadn't come at all.
He felt the burning in his chest, looked down and saw the hole. The liquid life oozed out of him, then the next one knocked him down onto the ground. They stood around him watching.
He felt the organ explode an irritating throb, he stood and they gasped. He heard his mother scream and he sent her a quieting thought. Father cried aloud and mother gathered him in her arms, they sat like that, crying tears of happiness cause they knew, now they understood..
He heard mother and father whisper.. "We love you, thank you!"
He closed his eyes and drew in a deep breath, he stood, shaking the dirt from his clothes. They were amazed, he was not dead.. he was dying, just not the way they would...
Reaching his hands into the air he expelled his breath.. they watched as his body began to glow, brighter, brighter, brighter, he told them, they had passed the judgment onto themselves, when he spoke, their ears bled, they screamed, his aura burned the corneas of their eyes, they rubbed at them,
His ascent became faster.. he handed down the curse, the judgment, the destruction of the ones that stayed behind.. And their ashes flew away.. gliding like the spores of a dandelion on the wind, their bones scattered, their memory, forgotten..
Far from The Plains of Meggido the ones that wept watched. They heard, they smelled, they rejoiced because, they were given another chance. They were given a pristine chance, without the shadow of evil covering them.. Nothing to mar it. They would always remember this day, they would always remember the pain that stabbed their heart over the badness man had done.. it was a new day.. it was their day, they would always remember him.. the child of light.. and the words he'd etched in their hearts.. Amen
